The Brown Sugar Stitchers Quilt Guild will celebrate its 10th anniversary this summer. In connection with that celebration, the guild has issued a challenge to its members.
The challenge is to make a quilted wallhanging that showcases the quilter’s talent and depicts the concept of “anniversary”. The quilter must use 10 fabrics, and since tenth anniversaries are usually celebrated with a gift of metal, the quilt must use either metallic thread or metallic fabric (foil). The quilt must measure a minimum 81/2 by 11 inches but must not exceed a maximum of 30 by 40 inches..
The quilts will be on display at the anniversary celebration in July. Ribbons will be awarded to first, second and third place winners. Look for amazing creativity!
