Textile Artist Gwen Magee is one of 15 artists selected by the Alabama Historical Society (in conjunction with the Alabama Arts Commission) to create artwork commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Freedom Rides. The work will be displayed in a year-long exhibit at the historic Greyhound Bus Station in Montgomery (now converted into a museum). The exhibit will open in late May.
Congratulations Gwen!
