Celebrate Quilts During Black History Month

From Africa to Atlanta By Way of Arkansas, 72 x 72 inches, by O.V. Brantley, 2004.

Quilting has always symbolized “making something out of nothing.” That can do spirit sort of sums up the history of African Americans.

Quilts deserve a special place in your  Black History Month celebrations. If possible, visit a quilt exhibit this month.
