The 2011 Atlanta Quilt Festival officially kicks off Sunday, July 31, 2011 at noon with the Opening Reception for the quilt exhibit. It will be held at the South Fulton Arts Center, 4645 Butner Road, College Park, GA.
Attendees will be treated to over 50 quilts as some of Atlanta’s top quilters compete for prize money. Attendees will be able to cast their vote for “Best of Show.”
In addition to the quilt exhibit, local authors will be on hand to share their latest books. Quilters will demonstrate quilting techniques and entertain the children with special activities designed to instill a love of quilting.
The reception ends at 4 p.m. , but the quilts will remain on display until August 13, 2011.
