Desert Garden by Marquetta Bell-Johnson was chosen by the judges as Best Art Quilt at the 2012 Atlanta Quilt Festival. This quilt is a desert scene that features Marquetta’s hand dyed fabrics and her signature yo-yo’s.
The quilts in the 2012 Atlanta Quilt Festival exhibit are absolutely amazing! They are definitely a must see. The exhibit will remain up through August 11th at the South Fulton Arts Center, 4645 Butner Road, College Park, GA. The Center is open daily from 10 – 5 p.m., but will be open until 7 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2012. It is closed Sunday.
The exhibit is free and open to the public. While there, make sure you cast your vote for the one quilt that you think is BEST OF SHOW.
