The Clara Ford Foundation will offer a Beginning Quilting class Saturday, August 09, 2014. The class is part of the 2014 Atlanta Quilt Festival activities.

The class will be taught by Nina Moore at the South Fulton Arts Center from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The South Fulton Arts Center is located at 4645 Butner Road, College Park, GA. A sewing machine is required for this class.

The  cost of the class is $20.00 which includes a fabric kit. Space is limited so you must reserve your space early. Please contact Nina Moore at nmoore9548@aol.com to reserve your spot and to receive further details about the class. You may also email atlantaquiltfestival@gmail.com to register.

Resolve to Learn To Quilt

Why not add “learn to quilt” to your New Year’s Resolution? Maxine Moore teaches quilting at Intown Quilters Quilt Shop and at the Southwest Arts Center, 915 New Hope Road in the Atlanta area. Most  quilt shops offer beginning quilting classes, so you should be able to find a class in your area.

Learn to Quilt Saturday

Have you always wanted to learn to quilt? Saturday is your chance. Nina Moore will teach Beginning Quilting at Hammonds House Museum Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. A sewing machine is required.

This class is free, but you must register. To register, contact Hammonds House Museum or email O.V. Brantley at ovbrant@gmail.com. Class size is limited, so sign up today.

This event is part of the activities of the 2011 Atlanta Quilt Festival. The quilt exhibit will remain at South Fulton Arts Center, 4645 Butner Road until August 13, 2011.  Exhibit hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. There is still time to go by and vote for your favorite quilt.

Maxine Moore Teaches Beginning Quilting at Intown Quilters

Maxine Moore will teach two beginning quilting classes at Intown Quilters this fall. The first class is on Sundays and begins October 3, 2010. The second class is on Saturdays and begins October 30, 2010. Cost of the class is $85.00 plus supplies.

Nina Moore will teach Beginning Quiltmaking Wednesday, August 11, 2010 as part of the festivities of the 2010 Atlanta Quilt Festival. Although the class is full, there is always next year! 

Shown is one of Nina’s quilts that is featured in the 2010 Atlanta Quilt Festival exhibit. It is called Solitude. The exhibit continues through August 13, 2010 at the South Fulton Arts Center, 4645 Butner Road, College Park,  GA. 

Admission is free.

Beginning Quilting Class Offered During Quilt Festival

Have you always wanted to learn to quilt? Now is the time.  A beginning quilting class will be offered as part of the activities during the 2010 Atlanta Quilt Festival. The class will be offered Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the South Fulton Arts Center, 4645 Butner Road, College Park, GA. It will be taught by Nina Moore.

Because passing on the art of quilting is a core mission of the Clara Ford Foundation, this class will be offered  at no charge to the first 12 people to sign up. The only way to sign up is to visit the Quilt Show which opens August 1. A sign-up sheet and supply list will be available at the show.
