The Clara Ford Foundation has an unprecedented number of activities planned for 2010. It is only March, but it has already sponsored is annual Big Mama’s Legacy Tour of Quilts in the Fulton County Senior Centers, sponsored an exhibit at the Allen Temple Church and participated in the Black History Program at the Mary Lin Elementary School.

Big Mama’s Legacy Tour of Quilts Underway

The 2010 edition of the Big Mama’s Legacy Tour of Quilts is underway. Unique and inspiring quilts by African American quilters are on display at selected Fulton County Senior Centers.

The centers are the Helene S. Mills Senior Multi-Purpose Facility, 515 John Wesley Dobbs Drive, Atlanta, GA,  the H. J. C. Bowden Senior Multi-Purpose Facility, 2885 Church Street, East Point, GA and the Harriett G. Darnell Senior Multi-Purpose Facility, 677 Fairburn Road, Atlanta, GA.

A new addition to the tour this year will be a stop at the Allen Temple AME Church in Atlanta on February 21, 2010.
