From Kenya to Kansas, by Denise Campbell
When Dr. Carolyn Mazloomi lectures at the Hammonds House Museum this Sunday at 2 p.m., one of the things she will share are insights about her new book of quilts. The new book, entitled The Journey of Hope in America: Quilts Inspired by President Barack Obama, celebrates the election of President Barack Obama. Several of the quilts that will be featured in the book will be available for viewing, including From Kenya to Kansas by Denise Campbell shown above.
Tickets are still available for the Sunday lecture. Email Hammonds House at quilts@hammondshouse.org for a ticket. Tickets are $10.00. A reception and book signing follows the lecture.
