“Splash From My Stash” Was Part of the 2012 Atlanta Quilt Festival

There were some amazing quilts in the 2012 Atlanta Quilt Festival exhibit. Let’s take a walk down memory lane to whet your appetite for this year’s festival.

The quilt shown above is called Splash From My Stash. Created by Aleathia Chisolm, it won Best Traditional Quilt at the 2012 Atlanta Quilt Festival. 

Celebrate with us at the Opening Reception of the 2013 Atlanta Quilt Festival from noon – 4 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the South Fulton Arts Center, 4645 Butner Road, College Park, GA. The exhibit closes August 10, 2013.

Splash From My Stash is Winner of Best Traditional Quilt

Splash From My Stash by Aleathia Chisolm

Splash From My Stash by Aleathia Chisolm was chosen by the judges as Best Traditional Quilt  at the 2012 Atlanta Quilt Festival. This quilt is based on the bargello pattern which Aleathia made entirely from her stash.

The quilts in  the 2012 Atlanta Quilt Festival exhibit are absolutely amazing! They are definitely a must see. The exhibit will remain up through August 11th at the South Fulton Arts Center, 4645 Butner Road, College Park, GA. The Center is open daily from 10 – 5 p.m., but will be open until 7 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2012. It is closed Sunday.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. While there, make sure you cast your vote for the one quilt that you think is BEST OF SHOW.
